The New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) is hosting its second annual Just One Thing Sustainability Slam on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the LaBelle Winery in Amherst.

EVR Advertising is the event’s Creative Director sponsor.

The Sustainability Slam recognizes New Hampshire businesses that incorporate sustainability initiatives into their operations. The Slam format allows the 12 finalists to share their story with the audience in 90 seconds.

There are three categories (Community, Environment and Workplace) with large and small company winners in each category. The six winners will be selected by audience members, who can vote using an app on their mobile phone.

“It’s a fun way to spread the message that no matter what size your business is, large or small, you can make a difference by doing just one thing that is socially and environmentally responsible,” says Lisa Landry, account director of EVR and a past NHBSR ambassador.

The Sustainability Slam is one of the highlights of the NHBSR’s Just One Thing campaign to recognize businesses and organizations for their environmental, community and workplace initiatives.

The 12 finalists are:
Community: Coca-Cola Northern New England and NH Electric Cooperative (large company), Loureiro and NH Citizens Alliance (small company)
Environment: Goodwill Northern NE and Timberland (large company), Great Bay Fertilizer and ReVision Energy (small company)
Workplace: Cirtronics and Medtronic Advanced Energy (large company), D.N. Lukens and W.S. Badger Company (small company)
