As an Account Director (AD), you will be a vital leader and contributor in the development and execution of client marketing strategies and tactics. In this position, your primary role is to lead a set of accounts, ensuring they are profitable and growing and manage a team of account executives. You’ll take responsibility for the delivery of quality creative work that exceeds the client’s expectations and addresses their business needs. Additionally, you ensure that internal teams are prepared to execute said work accordingly.

A day in the life:

  • Motivate and Lead: Inspire team members to achieve client and agency business objectives through effective leadership, mentoring and planning.
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and EVR internal teams, ensuring strong communication and collaboration. Develop a deep and proactive understanding of client’s business outside of our marketing campaigns ensuring that we are delivering for the client’s business everyday.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead strategic, tactical and support functions to drive long-term integrated strategies and account success. Be able to leverage brand knowledge to inspire the team and contribute ideas that can transform the client’s business.
  • Innovative Solutions: Develop and implement new approaches to enhance current practices and share ideas throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Focus on Data Analysis: Analyze the results of campaigns across all channels and report on performance compared to campaign goals, ROI and campaign learnings.
  • Business Acumen: Contribute to quarterly and annual business forecasting by providing insights on account trends and future client needs. Manage the profitability of accounts monitoring the billable vs. actualized hourly rate and scopes of work. Lead client communications around campaign finances and billing.
  • Superior Presentation Skills: Steer the preparation and delivery of compelling presentations for clients and prospective clients. Offer the keen ability to present ideas, problem solve and negotiate with fellow team members for a stronger result.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed about industry standards, best practices and innovative products to continuously improve service offerings. Strong foundational and working knowledge of creative and media across major digital and social channels. Must be well versed in common marketing & media principles.

Things you need to have:

  • Employment experience in an advertising/marketing position is required. Ad agency experience is highly preferred.
  • Articulate written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective sales and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with numbers, budgeting and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and time management.
  • Proficient ability to use technology, including suite of Microsoft Office programs, Zoom Workplace, A/V equipment and Adobe Acrobat
